This past weekend Aereo Gymnastics was represented by 5 gymnasts at the Provincial Level 6-10 Qualifier held in Burlington. The girls had a stellar start to their 2016-2017 season with great scores and impressive results.
Level 6
Emma Biggar won the All Around in the Level 6 age 12 category with a score of 37.750. Emma also won 4 silver medals placing 2nd on each of the events (vault, bars, beam and floor).
Abby Vanderlinde, also competing in the Level 6 age 12 category, won gold medals on bars and floor and finished 2nd in the All Around with a score of 37.350.
Ava Savio won the gold medal on bars, silver on floor, bronze on beam and placed 5th on vault. Ava finished 2nd All Around with a score of 37.325 in the Level 6 age 14 category.
Level 7
Ava Arsenault and Faith Ruber also earned medals for their Bar routines. Ava won the gold medal on Bars with a score of 9.650 in the Level 7 age 12 category and Faith won the bronze medal on Bars with a score of 9.475 in the Level 7 age 13 category.
Ava also finished 5th on Floor and 8th All Around. Faith was 7th on both Vault and Floor and finished 4th All Around.
The girls will compete in their second of four Qualifiers in January in St.Catharines. Gymnasts are allowed to use their best 2 All Around scores to try and qualify for the Ontario Provincial Championships held in April. The top 32 gymnasts of each category will qualify.
