Congratulations to the youngest members of our Competitive Program, our ODP gymnasts. Our girls competed at the Junior Jungle Invitational held in Richmond Hill April 27-28. ODP stands for Ontario Development Program and is comprised of specific strength and flexibility exercises to develop a strong foundation for Competitive gymnastics.
Winifred (age 7) competed in the ODP Level 4 category where she performs conditioning exercises like a 3m rope climb, static pike hold, chin ups, and specific skills to show development on each of the four events, Vault, Bars, Beam and Floor.
Evie and Halli (age 6) competed in the ODP B category where they demonstrated strength and flexibility stations like shuttle sprints, splits, rope climb, chin ups and handstand shapes.
Aria (age 6) competed in the ODP A category where the stations are similar to the of the ODP B group with slightly elevated standards and challenges.
We are very proud of our ODP’s and their efforts at Competition !
